LONDON -- Flooded roads are a tricky business.

Every now and then -- depending on your vehicle and exactly how deep the water is -- it's possible to sneak through a deep puddle, but attempting to navigate anything more waterlogged is always likely to end in disaster.

On Tuesday, parts of London became flooded after heavy rainfall. Manor Road in Wallington -- particularly a dip in the road beneath the railway track -- was very badly affected.

Yesterday, a video surfaced on social media of an optimistic driver attempting to make it through the waterlogged patch.

Oh dear.

Three people were rescued from flooded cars at the scene, according to a statement issued on the London Fire Brigade's website. Firefighters helped one person, while two others were assisted from their vehicles before firefighters arrived.
